I have a question. My skin is normally oily esp the t-zone all through the year however in winter, it can get a bit dry.
So now the question is…if i am opting for a oil controling face wash, should i combine it with a hydramax moisturiser for winter so that it balances off the whole routine? OR should it be vice-versa like a hydramax face wash with an oil controling moisturiser?
I am
There is no way i can get help at the counter as somebody else is gonna get the stuff for me and i have tried emailing the company online but they never reply .
Just get into a good cleansing, toning and moisturising regime and you will be fine. The balance thing won't really make much of a difference. It honestly depends on what products your skin is comfortable with. Rather than splurging out on something that won't work with your skin, try and get some different samples and see how your skin feels.
If your face is drier in the winter, try to avoid any products with Alcohol as I find this can add to the dryness.
make sure you read some reviews on shiseido products because i personally find they're horrible, just get into a routine, the products don't really matter as long as they don't contain alcohol and are oil free and fragrance free and contain very few ingredients, if you try too many products, trust me your skin will go gaga
Drink lots of water. It will re-hydrate your body from the inside out. It will also push out those toxins left in your system. During winter it becomes really important to exfoliate your skin so as to remove dead skin cells. You can use an exfoliating brush or a loofah every time in the shower for retaining a fresh and smooth skin.
I had this same problem. Last winter, I used a cleaner with glycolic acid, a grapefruit toner and an almond oil moisturizer and trust me, it did wonders.
I suggest that you apply a vitamin E enriched moisturizer on the face. This doesn’t clog up the pores and is particularly helpful during winter. And I don’t think the order of the moisturizer and face wash matters. If you do feel that your skin responded badly to the first option, just go with the hydramax facial wash with the oil controlling moisturizer.
