Re: Winter Holidays

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all;

Additionally,

A fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2013, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only “AMERICA” in the western hemisphere of our World, also not to imply that our world is necessarily greater than any other world nor the only world in the Milky Way or indeed any other galaxy in the universe, also not to imply that our Universe is necessarily greater than any other Universe. A discussion of multiple universe systems and parallel universes is beyond the scope of this greeting.), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the *wishee.

(Disclaimer: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher who assumes no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)*

Celtics > Lakers. Just sayin!

I’ll spend some of my time watching the Celtics :shoaby:

Re: Winter Holidays

Bill Bradley, former Knicks player turned politician, on mentoring Carmelo Anthony: I’ve had difficult jobs in my life but…shakes his head

I like the Lakers but they are in the crapper right now. Oh and Dwight Howard cries. Superman fail.

Too old. Next.

Clearly the Raptors are gonna take it this year…

…I’ll show myself out :bummer:

Re: Winter Holidays

i dont decorate christmas tree. as we muslim not supposed to celebrate christmas. m usually at home enjoying my day off:)

Re: Winter Holidays

Yes ma’am :hinna: It was.

I am assuming what MM meant by “nothing to do with religion” was to not make the discussion about religion.

Anyhow…

MM I love driving around and looking at all the decorated houses. We actually have a christmas lane in town and the houses are decorated to the nines. We dont put up lights because we are too lazy lol. Right now I am watching It’s a Wonderful Life. Watch that every year as well.
I also love giving presents to my Christmas celebrating friends. And obviously receiving them too :halo:
Oh and the Starbucks holiday drink menu :yummy:

Re: Winter Holidays

Am locking this thread for further review.

Re: Winter Holidays

[note] Just so we’re clear, this was not intended to be a religious discussion. Hence, the “nothing to do with religion” disclaimer.

The thread’s been reopened. Let’s stick with the discussion of plans for the holiday/ vacation and/ or if you/ fam bam decorate. [/note]

Re: Winter Holidays

Thread opened again, but please be careful this time.

Re: Winter Holidays

This year I made the mistake of ordering a holiday drink from Dunkin. :bummer: I love Dunkin’s coffee, but their holiday drinks, especially the iced Peppermint Latte… gag gag gag
It tasted like the smell of Tiger Blam/ Bengay.
