What’s “a lot of snow” for Londonders? Last year the whole world was laughing when Heathrow Airport had to be closed due to a snow level of merely 10 cm!

Heathrow is the busiest airport in whole Europe...that's why only few hours of delay caused a lot of hassle. And also, it was the coldest December in UK since 100 years.
Snow boots stop the hazard of slipping/falling...even few inches of snow becomes dangerous when turns into ice.

And so are Frankfurt and Amsterdam. But they have proper systems in place to tackle a bit of snow and ice.

Yeah but it was an unusual weather situation for London. My husband's flight was diverted from Heathrow and he was stuck in Frankfurt for 2 days.
