so yesterday was the last day at school for the kiddos.. :cheer: so no more picking up and dropping off for 2 weeks :chupki:

i need a vacation.. !
anyone doing anything fun/interesting these 2 weeks? mini vacations maybe.. ?

i will be staying at home :hinna:

well, since I work at my kids' school, their winter break is my winter break too!! yippeee!!!! no mini vacays planned, because I'm saving for our travel plans next year (taking the kids to england during the summer, hubby and I hope to sneak in a get-a-way alone too, and then for my cousin's wedding we'll be going to chicago for the valima)

so, for the next two weeks i plan on getting my house back in order (ugh!), clean out some closets, and get back into cooking mode (been slacking on that lately) starting with tomorrow, cousin's fiance is coming in town to meet the rest of the family (their mangni/baat paki was in chicago a few weeks ago) so khalla has put me in charge of making some desserts for the family dinner...I'm thinking of making a trifle & then jalebis...will post pics if the jalebis come out half way decent!

i don't have two weeks off...i'm working all those days except christmas day and the new year's day. i am accumulating all those days to use them when i go to India in Feb, inshaa Allah :)

well i would like to go back where i grew up which was in hannover but no relatives live there anymore so it will have to be frankfurt or koeln or something

Best vacay I have ever been on was to Spain!!! 7 glorious days spent in Barcelona/Granada/Cordoba!!!

Yup, I’m excited too…Hubby’s best friend lives in Manchester, so we’re going there & to London…first time taking the kids overseas…Allah khair karray…lol!
