If your joking with someone of the opposite sex is it suggestive to wink whilst joking/telling the joke?
Depends upon the joke

I didn't wink someone else did who had A lame joke passing it off as being good. Someone close to me said that winking is cheap which got me thinking.
Re: Winking ;)
its ok to wink once in a while ;) but don't do it too much or you will be mistaken for ptosis
Re: Winking ;)
depends on your rs with the opposite gender.
Re: Winking ;)
I find Pakistanis (as in born and bred) do it a lot - it's in the culture. I mean like for example, when they're pretending something, they might look at you and kind of wink and stick their tongue out with their teeth half-biting it. I don't know how to describe it actually, and I can't emulate it either it's quite a difficult thing, but I've seen tonnesssssssssssss of people do it.
E.g. if someone asks "did you put the shopping away?" and the Pakistani goes "yeah, of course" when he hasn't, then he'd look at you and do that weird wink-tongue thing to show he's having the other person on and is only joking.
Is that only me who's noticed this? Lol. My khalas do it, random auntie's I know do it, my in-laws do it, even my hubby does it lol.
Re: Winking ;)
Yeah, it's cheap unless you are very close friends.

Omg! i have seen it among my family members only but they bite their bottom lip as well as winking, hahaha its probably a cultural or family thing i guess
Re: Winking ;)
Was it a right eye or left?
Re: Winking ;)
This lady I know once told a mildly risque joke in mixed company. Everybody laughs but one guy laughs almost uncontrollably. Next day she sees him again at another gathering and he immediately winks at her. She is still puzzled.

I agree i have only seen people in their 40s and up wink when telling jokes but this once i saw a girl in her late 20s do it and someone said that was cheap of her.
