you can increase the virtual memory and if its already reached its limit then you have no choice but to increase the ram. Whith o/s u r using by the way.

Kinnz, what is your current spec? The best thing to do is increase the physical memory... it's pretty easy to do yourself :)

Are you using Vista or XP?
right click on my computer, then select from the menu that appears: "Properties"
then check in the window that appears the specs, at the bottom right. It should say the value of RAM installed. post that here.

To remove the error you should follow the following steps:-
XP Users:-
-> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced Tab -> Performance Section -> Settings
-> Advanced Tab -> Virtual Memory Section -> Change
1) Select C:
2) Click the "Custom Size" option button.
3) Enter "1024" in the "Initial Size (MB)" text box.
4) Enter "2048" in the "Maximum Size (MB) text box.
5) Click the "Set" button.
6) Click the "OK" button.
7) Click the "Apply" and then the "OK" button.
8) Click the "OK" button.
9) Confirm the prompt dialogue box to restart you computer.
For Vista & Windows 7 Users:-
-> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings (On the right pane)
-> Advanced Tab -> Performance Section -> Settings -> Advanced Tab
-> Virtual Memory Section -> Change
1) Select C:

Turion 1.8 with 512MB Ram and onboard VGA 
Should be enough for normal work, not very intensive stuff.
Seems there may be some problem because of too many programmes loading during startup.

hmmm it's a laptop. RAM module for laptop are expensive than desktops, it's upto you if you want to upgrade it or not. Also your physical RAM is 512MB, 32MB of which is shared with video card. At this stage best option for you would be to increase your virtual RAM, just follow the instructions in Stalker123's post.
Send your computer to some Museum, you can make alot of money. Spend 10% of that money on new pc. Hopefully you will get some new multimedia pc.
I salute you to running Winxp on 498mb ram in 21st century with all the resource hogging software.. well this also explains why you always reply late

Your physical RAM is really REALLY small in size…and evidently cannot support you in what you do on your computer… even if it is limited to net browsing…
If you know how to open laptops and add memory,then i would suggest you do that…
If Stalkers instructions did not improve anything then..you may have to upgrade to a new machine… 
arey madam, … save some money and buy a new computer .. it cost these days less then 200$ …
in Pak maybe less then 10000rs…

Try and eliminate all unnecessary applications and process running at startup..
Switch you windows theme to classic mode, select best performance option.
Defrag your system, run ccleaner to get rid of crap on it.
You can take steps to make your laptop more responsive. Laptop ram is not that expensive these days. If you can upgrade, go for it.
