Has anyone been to Windermere Cumbria Lake district .. Hubby and I were thinking to go for a couple of days .. anyone recommend any good hotels?

I went. Can't recommend hotels because we rented a holiday house for a few days.
Definitely do the steam train and boat combined ticket. We also went to the Beatrix Potter Museum and the Aquarium.
