Wimbledon: 4th All Williams Wimbledon Final, How is Dinara Safina is world no. 1?

It was two Americans - Serena and Venus Williams - v two Russians - Safina and Dementieva - in the ladies’ semis yesterday.

Safina looked pretty ordinary and clueless on grass against Venus Williams. Venus just blew her away 6-1, 6-0 in the semifinal

Her sister Serena had a much tougher game against Dementieva (who could have won the second set and match if she had not slightly mistimed her passing shot) 6-7, 7-5, 8-6

I read somewhere that Safina has yet to win a grand slam title!! She is world no. 1 by virtue of reaching the finals of US, Australian and French Opens in the last year. This makes a mockery of the ranking system.

It’s 2-1 to Serena in Wimbledon finals between the two sisters. On current form I expect Venus (who has not dropped a single set in this tournament) to make it 2-2 on Saturday.

Overall Venus has won 5 Wimbledon titles (this will be her 8th final, infact she is on a hattrick having won in 2007 and 2008) and Serena 2 (this will be her 5th final). The two sisters have dominated Wimbledon ladies’ singles over the past decade

And I think it w’d be a Federer-Roddick Final on Sunday. If Federer wins, it will be his 6th Wimbledon and a record 15th grand slam title overall. He is currently joint first with Sampras who also won 14 grand slams in his career

Federer and everyone has benefited from the absence of last year’s winner Rafael Nadal (injured) though!

Their father Richard Williams is flying back to the US because he 'does not want to have a heartattack watching his two daughters live play against eachother in the Final!'

If A Murray goes to the final, they say the centrecourt ticket would jump to £20K!!!

The Murray bubble finally burst against Roddick in a close game though 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-5)

I just can't stand all the hype of the British media and fans. Even before his 4th round clash against Warwinska many journalists were speculating - and seemed almost dead sure about it - a Federer-Murray Final on Sunday!!

bhai take each game at a time instead of making such outlandish claims, think about the 4th round game first >> QF and so on.

But to be fair, Murray played down the hype as best as he could

My prediction:

Venus will beat younger sister Serena to win her 6th Wimbledon title

Federer will beat Roddick to win his 6th Wimbledon and a record 15th grand slam title

Safina has reached more finals, hence the seeding.... i think that is total crappola...

Andy Murray sucks, i'm missing watching Nadal....but go Federer! :D
