I think the winners wud be hewit and philipposis

I think Hewitt, Henman, Federer, Johansson and Roddick will go thorugh.

Even though with Henman I am more hoping than anything else.

The following are through to the qtr finals:

Federer, Hewitt, Florian Mayer, Sebastien Grosjean, Mario Ancic and Sjeng Schalken.

Henman and Philippoussis and Roddick and Alexander Popp are currently in progress.

The more I see of Hewitt in this tournament the more I think he could win this one.

Go Roddick! :dhimpak:

^ Go Philipoussis! :dhimpak: :stuck_out_tongue:

And I would agree with Ehsan bhai, Hewitt is playing really well in this championship.

Roddick is through in straight sets 7-5, 6-4. 6-4.

Henman is leading two sets to none against Mark. :(

Henman is through after an incredible match 6-2, 7-5, 6-7, 7-6
Philippoussis didnt start playing anywhere near 50 percent even in first two sets. He came into his own in third set and came back from 2-5 in fourth set but Henman played well in tie breaker to clinch the match on his fifth match. Its really courageous from Philipppoussis when he goes for a fast second serve on big points. Normally pulls them off

So henman is through to quarter final for the fourth time. Lets see he can overcome Roddick and Federer challenges.

Federer V Hewitt will be a cracking match.

So henmen won., I was not expecting this result. Philposis didnt played well.

BTW Saw the match of Federer against karlovic. Karlovic was playing well n gave tough time to federer.

Lets see what happens in the match of hewitt and federer.

from the otehr side I think roddick will cruise throgh.

BTW umpiring std. is not very good .

Too true, that decision against Venus Williams during the tie break cost her the match.

tiger tim through to the quarters :dhimpak: ] all the way baby this is ur year. + defending champ roger federer meets Lieyton hewitt aka come onnnnnnnn the pick of the quarters.

roddick is also through who along with federer hasn’t dropped a set yet in this years champs.

on the ladies side, serena williams is through :k: ] i was rooting for sprem but the teenager lost shame. also maria sharapova the russian is through to the quarters for the 1st time @ wimbledon, she has amazing ground strokes and she basically control’s the ralley’s from the baseline.

it’s all hotting up going into the final week of wimbledon

Ladies' Singles Quarter Finals

Serena Williams USA (1)

v.

Jennifer Capriati USA (7)

Amelie Mauresmo FRA (4)

v.

Paola Suarez ARG (9)

Lindsay Davenport USA (5) 6 6

v.
Karolina Sprem CRO 2 2

Ai Sugiyama JPN (11) 7 5 1

v.
Maria Sharapova RUS (13) 5 7 6

Davenport and Sharapova are through to the semi finals and will meet each other.

Serena V Capriati will be a cracking match.

Maria Sharapova can play - wooooooo - the chick got game :k: - she wanna win - and she wants it badly. Maria plays Lindsay in the semi - should be a good one. (besides Anna - there are other Russian beauties)

Serena’s gotta going on - her winning streak now is 18 at Wimbeldon.

Tim Henman hasn’t shown anything that could worth him to reach at least the Finals. all hype - no real susbstance

The Fighter: Maria Sharapova

[thumb=H]maria18849_7723984.JPG[/thumb]

Maria Sharapova is a dogged fighter and determined competitor. She never gives up on any point and looks to chase down every ball.

Sharapova has followed a very carefully structured physical conditioning programme from a very young age.

As a result she is in fantastic condition and - importantly - she knows it.

Knowing she’s in great shape gives her confidence during matches.

She uses her condition to intimidate her opponents, by chasing, hitting hard and being relentless in her efforts.

A big factor at the moment is the success of her fellow Russians.

It’s much easier to be strong mentally if you can see other older players from similar backgrounds playing well and being successful.

==========

Maria Maria… ahem

.

I think Mauresmo and Williams will face each other in the semis

go steffi! :dhimpak:

Also the set point of the second set b/w henmen and philiposis.

federer also had a call against him during carlovics match . I am really surprised . That was damn too out ( I thin 2 feet or so)

Tiger tim surprized me but to be very honest I dont think he had the ca;ibre of federer or roddick. Thats my opinion

Oh well, Serena routed Davenport 6/1 6/1.
