and what is the context of this statement?
Leander and Sania win laurels for INDIA at Wimbledon (Doubles)
Suprising that this has not come up for discussion in the other thread about Wimbledon.
Sania Mirza and Leander Paes of INDIA have won their respective doubles crown at Wimbledon.
Sania pairing with Alisa Kleybanova of Russia in the girls doubles and Leander pairing with the great Martina Navratilova in mixed doubles. Infact another Indian - Mahesh Bhupathi - figured in the men's doubles finals but could not make it to the title.
If you saw the Paes-Navratilova match, I am sure you would know that Paes contibuted greatly in Navratilova equalling Billie Jean King’s record of 20 Wimbledon titles.
Leander Paes is a kind of enigma to me... I mean he has all the talents and a game to match any bigtime tennis players but for some reason he never does justice to his abilities in the singles.....maybe he should start believing in himself a bit more ... comments ?
Correction here Girls doubles winner wasn't Sania Mirza but the team of Kim Clijsters/Ai Sugiyama.
Am I right?

look who is talking… the king of most India-Pak spats in the KK forum… anywayz dont put needless smilies in your post… it shows that you do not have much of an opinion to make…
Obviously you have never heard of it but you will always make ignorant comments. Had a Pakistani won the girls you would have declared her better than Steffi Graff and Martina Navratilova :hehe:
Anyways just to educate you for free

Yeah, I still remember the fake topic you started about Pakistani players and Sri Lankan prostitues during ICC Champions Trophy last year in October.

What can I say, pictures are worth thousand words.
In your case, 1 word is enough to tick you off. ![]()
Oh sorry, let me bow down and declare them god before you do.
Anyways, how many headlines did it make, with the exception of The Hindu and Rediff.
Umair sahab,
For ur exalted highness this may be trivial but for us low life Indians it is indeed a big achievement..Now be happy and chill..
