In light of the recent thread worrying over handshakes, I am wondering about air travel. Airports are installing those full-body scanners this year. They produce a detailed image of your body - a virtual strip search.
So will you stop travelling by air?

Personally I think it's a disgusting job to sit there and view all shapes and sizes. Sure after a while you get numb to the "exciting/horrifying" body types and you can still continue to work there as a scanner retard... but I am amazed at how LEGAL it is to make a person LEGALLY sit there and watch.
There are MANY men out there who are sexual predators and they get BUSTED for doing the same...
So how is this any different?
oh and the funny retarded part of this whole thing is THEY will really scan the background check for the person who gets hired to do this job. Will they be looking for PRIOR experience in reading these scans? Sure a sexual predator will be MOST qualified :D

Some airports already use them but many more are to be installed in the coming year. This type of scan will catch the type of thing that happened recently - a bomb placed in a condom and sewn into the underwear. A pat-down wouldnt catch that but the body scan would.

NJMasti, no one would “make” a person sit there and watch. Its a job for which they are paid. Air safety isnt a job for “retards”, its taken pretty seriously. They’re interested in keeping the safety of the flying public.

it boils down to convenience of travel, I dont fly for anything in 6 hrs drives because its easier for me to get in the car and drive rather than park my car and pay for it, check in wait for plane assuming its flying on time, pay for baggage, collect luggage, get a rental car at my destination..and if all goes well save maybe an hour..maybe.
for longer distances flying is the way to go, until we in US figure out what others already have, that high speed trains can be a good thing.
I may be dismayed and slightly annoyed at searches and extra special 'random' attention to me
but honestly I would be mildly inconvenienced than be mildly dead. :)

Yeah but some of the guys especially at the very start of the heightened security seemed less than qualified to be security guards at a jack in the box let alone an airport. It has improved considerably over the years with more professional looking, acting, speaking people in those roles.

although, if i am on a plane where before getting I am searched, cant print my boarding pass online, and then some jackass who did not fit their profile does something, if i live I would go and slap the screeners with a trout, if i die then my ghost will haunt them.

Actually yeah some of them are. If they're having a bad day or dont like how you look or their butt itches or whatever--guess what? they're going to make your day miserable too.

I have no idea who a proctologist would be and have no time to look up :D but u can tell me
about peds and ob/gyn - honestly I DO NOT TRUST all doctors. There are some doctors who are just sick in their minds and they practice till they get caught. So YES I might think same about doctors (SOME) if we elaborate on this topic further....
anyways since it's not about doctors, it's about those scanners - I do feel that hey have quiet a heft job.
