would you settle later down the line..for someone below your expectations…if you don’t find him?

or

you prefer staying single??

oh, ok rite!

i guess everyone gives in after years of searching for their ideal…that however doesnt mean they would just go for whoever they come across but yah with time and experience your ideals do change, some with your own consent and some with majburi :p.

Anyways, … Yes, i think i would opt for the former option but ofcourse that doesn’t mean koi bhi chaley ga :nono:. Like i have said in the other topic, i have thought about staying single as an option but i have realised that i am too emotional and family oriented of a person to actually go that way and survive. So yah :chai:.

And to be very honest, how many find “the one”? Even if they do, after marriage that same person turns into a nightmare…so might as well get married with less expectations and be surprised :p…ok yah i am just tryin to “dhalasado” myself :disgust:.

I dunno. I think I lowered my standards A LOT over the years. My standards:

  1. born or at least spent a substantial part of his formative years (i.e hopefully high school, but at least college) in the US.
  2. can converse intelligably on topics.
  3. Nice? Like, no really. Nice - as in doesn't mistreat people around him, not rude, etc.
  4. No criminal record - speeding tickets don't count...but if you're incapable of driving safely AT ALL...jesus christ.
  5. Has a job?
  6. Is interested in me, at least.

Uh, yeah. I don't see AT ALL, how I'm picky.

I don't think I will change my expectations at all. Because they're not that high. If I cannot find someone according to them...I'll stay single.

I admit, my standards are much lowered now as compared to standards when mom started looking for me few years ago.

So yeah, I will settle for someone because I think we should be mature enough to revise our ideals and thinking with time. How much to revise varies from person to person.
