Will you say I love you to your partner infront of your family ?

Hi guys,

From the other thread, this question came to mind, dont know if discussed before or not.

Will you say I love you to your spouse infront of your family ? I know kissing good bye is out of question if your family is around too for most, but if there are exceptions, enlighten us whether it can be done or not ( infornt of family, akelay mei tau sab hi chummi lay kar jaatey hain)?

Hubby told my family he loves me when he met them for the first time :D which made me go all shy but lol it was the right thing to do :)

He will hold my hand in front of family and half hug me but that's it.

When you have a civil ceremony here (which is compulsory if you want to be a Mrs) part of the vows include saying ‘love’ to each other. All my family and his family were there, including the respected baba-ji’s etc… it was super embarrassing for both of us. My husband made such a massive deal out of it that he laughed when the word came up and had to attempt it 3 times through laughter lol :bummer: the registrar totally didn’t get it either lol. What’s the big deal in saying I love you to your partner? Lol.

No we don’t say it to each other in front of anyone. Too embarrassing.

Usually cant even sit on the same sofa if my dad is around. Forget about saying I love you around him........

Done both.. It was in Pakistan. Mrs was in Pak at the time, and i went to pak from UK, and on arrival you know how it is, all the khaandaan is there to meet you. Hence, I walk in all the family is there meet them one by one hand shakes and hugs… all the little kiddies running around ..the best feeling :slight_smile: Anyways, Mrs was told to go inside so i could meet her in private but one of my cousins is a ‘Sharaarti one’ she dragged the Mrs out.. so there was me walked upto her Handshake, said the Magic Word and Kissed her on the forehead infront of her Dad lol - All the kiddies that were running around stopped lol ..eye brows raised but fortunatley NO ONE said a word except the kiddies asked. One kid goes to her Mum why did bhai kiss Baji ..:rotfl:

That was the day and till today they remember my entrance.

And i am Proud :smiley:

In front of his family?? No way!! My husband barely even talks to me lol!!!

In front of my family....he and I are more open and relaxed. I don't think we've ever said "i love you" out loud, but he'll put his hand on my shoulder...half hug....joke around or be cheesy

^^^ Yeah same here. For some reason he's more relaxed with PDAs (within limits of course!) around my family than he is with his own family.

Yea, we hold hands in public…that is, we used to before the 3 kids became kebab may haddis :mad:

I can say it front of my family but won't say it infront of his parents.

With 2 heavily jealous kids (4 and 1), its hard enough to even sit close in private, let alone do or say something in public.

i would have a minor stroke if my husband ever said that infront of anyone. he barely looks in my direction incase it looks obvious that we married. :smack:
