salman butt and yasir hameed cud not settle as an opening pair
imran farhat almost gone…
imran nazir well history…
we have tried so many openers and nothing has worked…
so what do we do now

Why do both the openers of Pakistan (kholnay waalaY) almost always get out in the beggining (regardless of who they are)?:hoonh:

Let Yasir play for this one and WI series (full) alongwith Salman Butt… patience is important so we should play these two for ONE full series, I’m sure they will settle down very well.

^^ Agree completey. I think they should put Salman and Yasir in for about 20/25 matches. They both have good potential. I think they will prove to be a good opening pair. Insha Allah.

I think we should register every male in Pakistan between age of 18-30 and give them all a chance. Waisay bhi zero par hi out hona hoota hay.

Pakistan management committed a blunder when they dopped Yasir for first two tests. Infact Yasir and Butt combo should have been persisted with throughout the series. And after these failures, I think Faisal Athar will get his chance for the tour to WI alongwith Salman and Yasir.

Saby, I agree. Yassir and Butt were our best bet. Taufeq is an abomination and an insult to the word opener.
I think its Faisal Athers turn. Maybe if Asher Zaidi could lose some weight he could open for us as well.

I don’t see any reason why we can not allow Afridi + Imran Nazir to occupy permanant opening slot for thier Good ‘fielding’ skills, and Afridi is fast becoming a usefull bowler as well.
If both or one fails at the top at least it would be in anticipation and in true sense Pakistan’s innings would start from the one down position, errr may be 2 down, :smokin::k:
