Will there Really be Elections in Pakistan?

Guppies,

Looks like Musharraf’s formation of the King’s party is unraveling. With an alliance between NS and BB things look ominous for Mush. Now he has antagonized Imran Khan as well. All Mush needs for postponement of elections is an “attack” by India and say “national security”.

With this in mind - Do you all really think there will be elecions?

Let’s have an unscientific poll.

  1. Yes - There will be elections

  2. No - Mush will find an excuse to postpone elections

My bet is that the elections will be postponed with Indian “attack” as excuse.

Let’s hear everyone’s opinion.

As long as pardhaan mantry veggie doesnt give an empty war cry of "decisive battle" all over again, there wont be a threat to national security :)

It depends. If the Indian govt decides to do some shararat, this may cause the elections to be postponed. And India might do this to make Mush look bad and bring about even stronger opposition in hopes that The Mush gets overthrown in a coup. And of course, the Pakistani morale is so low, that they'd buy into it and do what India hopes them to do.

I agree, India is the only obstacle, otherwise elsections will be held on schedule.

there will be elections cause musharraf is not worried about who is comming in to power, he already got rid of them.

if there is real convern about india only then there will be a delay!

dear talwar bhai .....
for me having a masters degree in electronics ....working in UK with a top 5 US companys in UK..... being so educated I would still say I pray to GOD day in and day out that we should never face elections again.....YOU TELL ME WHY DO I THINK THAT WAY??????? am I PAranoiyed or there is another underlining agent behind it.....
