Such as football (American), basketball, baseball or ice hockey (The popular ones)?

Yeah yeah, I know we don’t emphasize sports that much, and professional level skills require complete dedication to the sport. Can’t juggle football with aspirations to become a doctor. Then again, is every Pakistani in the US aspiring to become a doctor?

Then there is the whole part about the physical aspect.

BTW, fourth generation Pakistani and/or halfies don’t count.

Are there professional soccer, cricket or rugby players in UK or Australia?

I think another factor is build and body type. American football, basketball, and ice hockey to some extent, require a certain build, which may not be that common among South Asians.

There have been quite a few in cricket in UK. even in the current team there is Moeen Ali.

In Boxing in UK you have got Amir Khan.

No there is none so far in any US pro ball sports. But fingers crossed I’m sure there’ll be coming in next generation hopefully.

There are Indian pitchers in baseball on which the movie “Million dollar arm” is made but honestly they are no way near to the other pro pitchers we hv

I believe their are/were couple of indians playing professional sports in USA.

There was an indian girl on the Olympic gymnastic team and a half white/indian hockey player.

The Bullar brothers may become the first punjabi sikh/indians to play the NBA.

There have been quite a few cricket players in UK and one in Australia who have made it to top.

There’s quite alot of paks in british sports teams. Even though i’m from the UK I was once accepted into an american university with my ambition being to get into the NFL. Needless to say, it never worked out due to my parents refusing to let me go.
