After twenty five days of fight, tiny Hezbollah group has convincingly demonstrated to the Arab world that Israel is not invinsible. So will Syria get involved to get back its occupied areas from Israel? It’s a wild guess since Syria is not a weak power and quantity wise (not quality wise) syrian military machine is far bigger than Israel. Syria is far more powerful now then what it was during 70s and 80 when there was no agitation in the occupied areas and there was no such powerful resistance unit in Lebnon.
I believe it’s Iranian regime which would decide when Syria should invade Israel. But wider conflict seems to be just round the corner. What other guppies think about it?
It is stupid for Iran and Syria to get involved, they cannot beat Israel and America. It is impossible. Do not think Israel will be alone when either Syria or Iran attacks them; they have invited a mass murder of their people. They should be wise and patch up political differences with the world community. This is the time to do it when the world has finally realized that Israel is not that much of an angle as media portrays them to be.
Why put Iran or Syrian infrastucture at risk when they can pay a proxy army to do it? Let the Lebanese take the beating.
So exactly what has Hezbullah proven Militarily? They have proven that defeating a series of interlocking and fortified bunkers with well trained and a well equipped infantry makes for a slow fight. In most wars a vastly superior military force will blow by this type of forification. The Maginot line was obsolete a long time ago. Israel will also learn from this encounter and will adapt tactics for the next war. And, well beyond the cameras, the Israeli military is methodically destroying Hizbullahs fortifications.

Israel has also redefined asymetric warfare. Asymetric has been the watch word since the Soviets won in Afghanistan. If an indigenous force is ruthless, well armed and well funded they can inflict lots of damage. They can get the superior force to withdraw. But a better society never results. Wars continue for years. The country is never rebuilt, and every decent citizen who is able flees the country.
So Hizbullah may rule over rubble, dreaming of the next fight, launching rockets for decades, and implementing an Islamic Rule which becomes an embarrassment to Islam. Wonderful. Lebanon is wrecked. One more failed Islamic State. Fabulous achievement.
So long as Hizbullah rules, no Western dollars will rebuild Lebanon. Iran will pump in money and guns, and urge Hizbullah to go do it again. Just what the Islamic world needs, more cannon fodder.
Hezbullah did not deter aggression, they invited it. They did not protect Lebanon, they put it at risk and led it to ruin. Wonderful, a beatutiful country laid to ruin because of a violent uncontrolled militia. Just great. The Muslim world will puff itserlf up with pride that somebody poked Israel in the nose. They will ignore the cost and the aftermath for this petty moment of pride.
Hezbollah invited the Israeli aggression. What is the excuse for this argument now? No more talking about prisoners so let us talk about rockets when Hezbollah did not fire them before the Israeli aggression.
25 days of ceaseless bombing by Israel, and still they have not been able to beat Hezbollah who is firing rockets at a higher rate than before the fighting began.
Israel said it attacked because 2 of it's soldiers were kidnapped, yet now a further 60 have been killed by Hezbollah.
The people of Lebanon are uniting around Hezbollah, as are people of the wider Arab/Muslim world.
Israel has LOST - why would Syria need to attack it?
Maybe perhaps kidnapping Israeli soldiers and killing 8 of them in the process brought israeli aggression on these nazi terrorist beasts also known as Hezbollah
As for the Rockets, the simple fact is that they are used to kill Israeli civilians which removes all moral equivalance between Israel and Hezbollah
While Israel has the capability to inflict losses on Lebanon to kill millions but it hasnt
And while Hezbollah has those rockets it has on purpose fired those rockets in populated areas to kill Jews
and when Two Israeli Arab kids were killed, Hezbollah apologized for killing Arabs

Getting involved , by either Syria or Iran would be a big mistake.
Admit it - at this stage we cannot nullify or CAPTURE Israel. Widening the war platform would just give all the vitally needed EXCUSES to Amreeka and its Chamchay to JUSTIFY the atrocities against Lebanon and Hizb.

My dear friend palestinians, jordanians, labnese, syrians, moroccons, tunisians, libiyans, algerians, egyptians, saudis, kuwaitis, iraqis, omanis, yamanese, sudanese, qatarese are all arabs. Arabs are not just shia or sunni muslims, there are christians too. Half of labnese arabs are christians and there are good percentage of palestinians and iraqis who are christians. Iraq's number two man during Saddam's regime "Tariq Aziz" was a christian. Even Israel has significant number of Arab population.
In fact Labnese consist of christians, ****e muslim, sunni muslim and druze muslim and all of them are Arabs.

America and its allies have put Hizbullah into their terrorist list. But France and EU haven't . So American money won't flow but EU money will certainly pump into Lebnon.
Thanks to Bush, now three power blocks are emerging in the international politics. One is an American block consisting of America and its anglo-saxon allies and Israel. The second power block is EU with France as its leader and third power block is Russia with its own political interest. Iraq and Lebnon war clearly shows the emerging picture that western block no more exists. It's now divided into American block and France (EU) block. Russia and EU are now more aligned than ever before and America is now getting isolated thanks to Bush.
