In Islam the property of the deceased is distributed among his/her family members as per whats stated in the Quran.
Where does the Will of the deceased stand in the light of Islam ?

Will (as long as its according to shariah) is only applicable on 1/3rd of his wealth (even if he willed the whole amount to one party). 2/3rd will still be distributed according to shariah.

what's intriguing is the part within the brackets, 'as long as its according to shariah'.What are the situations which would be considered against Shariah?

Like if deceased said that all his wealth should be used to observe his barsi in the form of annual Urs and Sabri Qawwal should be invited to sing Qawwali. Or If he asked to build a huge Mazaar over his qabar and a mujaawar should be hired to spread fresh flower every morning.
