With the present circumstances with all that has happened with SL in Pakistan, they took the step to come to Pakistan when no one else was coming, they had a big terrorist attack and have still maintained friendly relations with Pakistan.
Do you think Pakistan cricket team, though unpredictable, will be a bit sympathetic and might be merciful with SL team in the final for all what they have done? Or will they be planning to give a full fledged blow no matter what?

They are professional cricketers. All of 'em. They are trying to win a tournament. If there is such a sympathetic bone in their body, they'd give a hug to the Sri Lankans (especially that poor guy Mendis). But when the game is on, the game is on. Whoever plays better, gives their all, wins. Its not a Mercy Tournament.
This is the World Cup Final (albeit T20 not the main T50 World Cup) dear, some serious business and national pride is at stake for both teams. I am sure both want to win it badly. There is something called professionalism in sport.
I am sure not even the Williams sisters are sympathetic towards each other when they face each other in Wimbledon. If my memory serves me right, they have met each other in three Wimbledon Singles Finals (2-1 to Serena, Venus the current Wimbledon Champion finally beating her sister last year!!). At that very moment they are both only thinking about winning the match and the Trophy, not worrying about "Oh no my sister is losing, I might give her the next point as a goodwill gesture!!"

Beat Sl so badly so they will get some motivation to come Pakistan and get any revenge 
We can give them a set of cups at our home.

Frankly after seeing them play yesterday, i think we need some mercy from Malinga and sangakara, they are a very good team.

we need this cup no matter what, leave all kind a sympathy for other matches.... !
I am sympathetic towards Taliban. They tried their best but Mendis and co are not only alive but playing in the final.

Well guys win or loose that's a part of the game lets hope Pakistan play together like a team like they showed in the semi finals and no internal politics has entered and none of the players have fallen out with each other.We are the best when we are a team but unfortunately that does not happen often.
I think they should not after what Sri Lankans and Bangladeshis did to us.

ditto. pakistan is going to have to give it their all and some more because SL are a tough one.
In this matter, I think that PCB is being unreasonable and not others. We have discussed this matter in other thread though.
No mercy. This is sport, why should we be sympathetic because of non-sporting matters? We have to be ruthless and destroy them.
