LAHORE: Bollywood legend actor Om Puri on Wednesday said that he enjoyed Pakistani movies in India like “Khuda K liye” and others, due to its story and high quality picturization and demanded the Indian government to lift ban on Pakistani movies and TV channels.
Bollywood actor expressed his views a press conference in Lahore.
**He said he was afraid of coming to Pakistan due to current wave of tension in Kashmir after sacking Kashmiri students from Indian universities over supporting Pakistani cricket team against India in Asia cup. But I was wrong, actually I have received warm welcome by the people of Pakistan.

**Om Puri further said that he would never do a role in any anti-Pakistan movie from now.

Veteran actor Om Puri and actress Divya Dutta now in Pakistan to perform in a play called ‘Teri Amrita’.
The play will be performed at the Alhamra Art Centre starting from March 12 to 15.
“My wish to see Lahore is fulfilled today. I had been in Pakistan before but couldn’t get a chance to visit Lahore,” Puri, 65, said while talking to the reporters at Wahgah Border yesterday.
He said he would also celebrate his birthday in Lahore. The stage performance has been organised by the Barfi Theatre Productions, which is headed by Badar Khan, a famous comedian.
‘Teri Amrita’ is the translation of an English play. It was translated by Javed Siddiqui into Urdu.
Siddiqui is the writer of popular Indian movies such as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Baazigar’ and ‘Zubeidaa’.
