We all know he signed with ICL. He is supposed to meet with official on the 20th of this month. We badly need him back, desperately need him to shore up the test middle order. Do you guys reckon this will have a positive outcome?

With backing of captain gone, I am not too sure if he would want to come back, unless of course PCB takes the ban off for all players who joined ICL.

Yousuf should have been in Pakistan's twenty-20 squad as well. We saw yesterday how we made a complete mess of chasing down a modest total of 140 odd. Younis Khan (the only other world-class batsman we currently have) alone cannot shoulder the burden of batting in tests

PCB are unpatriotic. They care nothing but about their ego and because of them there is lack of planning, indiscipline in the team. No wonder Pakistan Cricket is suffering. Bunch of traitors.

^ Where does patriotism come in when deciding to drop a player? The PCB thought (wrongfully) Yusuf wasn't the perfect player for a 20/20 format and hence they dropped him. And his dropping gives a chance for others (like Misbah) to show what they're capable of.
I firmly believe he'll be back for the SA series.

Yeah blame the PCB for being unpatriotic. PCB took Yousuf's hand and made him sign the ICL contract. PCB gave players what they deserved. Yousuf is not fit enough to play 20/20. Even during the middle of the 20/20 practise matches in Pakistan..he went home to visit his parents..and didnt participate in rest of the matches. Even the matches he did play...he failed to get into double digits in any practise games against no name bowlers in flat pitches of Pakistan. His style of batting does not suit and his fielding is horrible to say the least. Razzaq also got what he deserved...he had to axed for how was performing for the last 2 years...and Inzi...he's done..and his county performence is proving that.
Get over your obsession of saying everything against the PCB. When Misbah was selected..everybody was cursing them...and he took Pakistant to the jaws of victory with a herioc innings against India. When PCB sent Sohail Tanveer as a replacement for Akhtar...again everyone critisized the PCB for sending such an unknown player...and now after seeing him play...we all know how talented he is and looks so promising.
No matter what it is..narrow minded people like you will always blame the PCB. They might not be the best board in the world..but they certainly aren't bad. Im glad to see players picked on merit rather than on their seniority.

PCB has destroyed Pakistan cricket. If it was not for Yousuf, Inzamam and others our cricket team would be lower in ranking than Bangladesh. Yes I am not a chamcha of PCB who will applaud their effort to select Butt, Hafeez and others like him on 'merit'.
Did Yousuf made those runs because of money? Did Inzamam and Razzaq played for so long for Pakistan for money? Get over your immaturity. It is not like because of their absence Pakistan fielding is now South Africa. Mishba inngs being compared to Yousuf or just heroism....yeah sure...we got to see his heroics when he turned 33. Now explain yourself where did he loose all those years becuase of fielding and some stupid domestic cricket.
Form is temporary class is permanent. These players are legend and just because of PCB they can not give their level best and leave the cricket with honor. This is what they have given us. Steve Waugh should have left cricket after WC '99 but he continued on. Hayden lost his touch in 2005 but came back to have a tremendous WC '07. Why? This is because their board was behind them and helped get them through difficult time.
Get over the money issue. Otherwise, these players wouldn't be playing Pakistan Cricket to begin with.

They may have made mistakes. But i don't think the term 'traitor' applies. We can't question their loyalty based on past goofs.

While I do agree with Yousuf and Razzaq being wrongfully dropped for the 20/20 world cup, I also do believe that they are both A-grade whiners and have acted like babies (and complete tools). Ganguly was dropped while he was captain of the side! He did not retire from international cricket like a moron. And Yousuf, of all people, should understand that his name is the first on the team sheet based on sheer merit, performance and experience! This 20/20 world cup is a farce and other series coming up are far more important; too bad Maulana sahab don't practice what they preach.

Im immature? you're the one who cant get over your love for Inzi no matter what he does. In everything, you blame the board. Do I have to remind you how many lows we saw during Inzi captaincy...he didnt know half the rules of the game. Butt is by far the best opener in domestic cricket and deserved to get selected. Is there a better opener than him? You want farhat to open for pakistan? or taufeeq umar? Butt was purely selected on merit so get over your bull*. Same with Hafeez. Hafeez scored a centuary against the Aussies in Australia when he was called up for the series against England...and scored 92 in that test match. Once again, PCB picked a player on merit..so once again i'll say...dont give me that bull* of yours.
Hafeez also as a great record in 20/20 and same with Misbah. If you remember..they won 20/20 championship held in England...Misbah was the captain of Faisalbad team...so they both have a lot of 20/20 experience and they've been successful. Misbah has also shut up his critics like you with his showing in the matches he has played so far. What did Yousuf do in the practise warm up 20/20 games? He culdnt even get into double digits against Pakistan A bowlers. 20/20 is not his style..plus his fielding sucks...he didnt fit into the team..simple. He should have got over that. But no...his ego got the better of him and he saw money...so mr maulana yousuf went and signed for the ICL.
PCB is not perfect...infact they're far from perfect. I've critisized the PCB on a lot of things...but i call a spade a spade. I hate people who just critisize for the sake of critisizing...you dont like the PCB...well keep whining about it. Talking about whining...when is Imran Khan not whining? Everytime I see him on TV he's whining...whether its sports or goverment...all he does is whine. And Miandad?..as if he knows what to do with Pakistan cricket..he has been given enuff chances to become coach and has done NOTHING. He was a disgrace of a coach...his stupid monkey dances from the balcony.
And for your kind information...Pakistan wont start fielding like SA overnight. If you know cricket well enuff..you'll know these things take time...so give it some time. There has already been a huge improvement in fielding and fitness and you can clearly tell if you actually watch the matches...and not read the commentry from cricinfo.

If my memory serves me right he has effected many runouts in his one-day career) Misbah has justified his selection but why could n't they both have played in the same team?
Younis Khan, Imran Nazir and Shoaib Malik stand out as fielders but it's not like the other players have fielded impeccably. Have you for instance seen Umar Gul's outfielding. I can remember atleast two instances where he gave away boundaries thru clumsy outfielding. By your logic he should also not be in our team. Get over this obsession with fielding. Yousuf maybe not be a great outfielder but he more than makes up for it with his batting.
And how come Yasir Arafat fits into this twenty-20 side? An over-rated bits and pieces 'all-rounder' who can neither justify his place in the team as a batsman nor as a bowler. He got spanked by India and has been going for 9-10 RPO (and that was a modest Indian total) in most of the games. Goodness knows how many runs he will go for if Australia and/or SLA do go on to score around 200 against us.
And please please Butt is not suited for this format. He wastes far too many deliveries and is a slow starter. He made something like 16 off 25 deliveries against India which is just not good enough in twenty-20. Hafeez is an average batsman and a mediocre bowler at best. Yes Misbah and Tanveer have justified their inclusion but let's not overhype Hafeez and Arafat.
Have mentioned this else-where. But for PCB and Malik's hutdharmi this could have been our Twenty-20 squad.
