Used to watch it a long time ago, I'm not sure which episode you saw though. Will is a gay lawyer and hasn't been in a relationship since he broke up with his boyfriend who he was with for millions of years. Grace moved in with Will when her relationship ended (she realised she didn't love him anymore) Grace is an interior designer and her assistant is Karen - rich woman who works for Grace to get away from her step children.
I think thats basically it, oh apart from Jack who needs no introduction.

and I was totally lost… but the show is good..
will wants to have a child, but he can't do that without a female....and being gay doesn't help him out too much there...
so grace was going to have the baby for him and they were planning on raising the child together as mommy and daddy who are not in a physical relationship...yeah i know.
but then comes handsome prince charming (aka charming doctor), and will and grace decide not to do the whole child thing. Now Grace is married to prince charming.
aww, that show is hilarious. but ive missed the last few episodes..
It is a great show, funny as. Jack is the funniest character and the different roles combine brilliantly.

Will and Grace is not as funny in their current season. Since Grace got married to Leo (jewish doctor), there is no "Will and Grace" anymore.
Karen and Jack are the real stars of the show
