I am currently wanting to go on holiday by myself. Where? I don’t know yet but would like to go to France, Holland or America, actually anywhere really. But the problem is ive never been alone before, im kinda hesitant and scared. I mean I will be an alone pakistani female so will I be looked down upon? Will I be okay? What if I get lost? I will be an alone female in the middle of nowhere. Has anybody here been abroad by themselves? especially any (Pakistani) females? Also, what have you done whilst by yourself? Have you met up with any people from the country? What activities do you do by yourself? Thanks.

Why don't you take a friend/sibling along? It's not just a matter of you being a pakistani woman and being by yourself. Women these days are attacked in their own backyards. Embarking on some Eat, Pray, Love adventure to find yourself sounds great in movies and sure you may discover a few things about yourself when you're vacationing alone but the real you won't suddently emerge out after a week alone in France. If you do decide to travel alone anyway i'd have a plan A, B, C, D and E. Don't expect to just wing it wherever you decide to travel. Do your research to minimize surprises. Run through some possible worst case scenarios and make sure you are prepared to handle the unexpected. Good luck on whatever you decide to do :) But please research, research, and research wherever is it that you decide to go whether with someone or by yourself and always have a back up plan.

Traveling alone in America will not be a big deal, you won't feel out of place in any of the big tourist cities...where you thinking of visiting?

OP...if you ever get lost while in the USA/Canada, you keep my telephone number handy...i can be reached 24/7...i'll pick you up and drop you off where you would wanna go! :D

youll be fine as long as youre street smart. Youre not the first woman to have travelled on her own. You wont be the last. On the plus side at least you can stick to your own schedule without having to accommodate or account for others.

Yes, you’ll be okay in US. Can’t speak for other countries. But practice caution anywhere you go in the world.

Why would that make her lonely? There is nothing wrong with taking a vacation by yourself. I went to NYC once with a group of 11 people (cousins only trip) and one of the days I took off by myself and spent the entire day sightseeing on my own...it was awesome. I didn't get bothered by all the group drama, got to see what I wanted, ate what I wanted, explored wherever I wanted...I would do a solo vacay again in a heartbeat!
