…Cloning is a fact of technology…pretty soon we will witness human clones…so the question arises…what we have in a clone is an exact copy of the orignal body…Will the soul also be a copy or a new unique soul?..![]()
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
Good question Sind Sagar.
I think they'll have separarte souls.

Yes but the Bodys experience is what the soul experiences.......and the Body is subserviant to the soul................
The puzzle gets more complicated because we know Identical twins have separate bodies and souls but almost identical experiences....when one gets heart the other feels the pain.....is that due to the identical body or due to identical souls?

:).....Yes Ravage............you started me thinking...may be we have a connection here.......:)
But I wanted people to think what would happen with cloning....which has unique questions of it's own................Right?

They do not have "identical" experiences. They date different girls remember ..j/K
Well when a child is hurt, mother feels the pain, though they have separate bodies and souls.
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
The factory which produces souls will still be up there. So the clone factory on earth will have to import souls from souls factory in the heavens.
I wonder when will humans be able to clone souls ?

does a cloned topic have a seperate soul :p
j/k
i dont see any reason why they wouldnt have seperate souls. after all twins are a very close approximation of cloning, right Icono?
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
correct
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
Bodies will be created on earth as long as there are proportionate souls existing for them. Simple. When their are no more souls, better hope for the best.
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
Actually cloning is very "iffy" and there is considerable controversy on what is what isn't a clone. Even with Dolly the sheep, some in the scientific community suggested that Dolly wasn't a true clone and don't forget that there were a lot of problems with Dolly as well. Human beings have a much more complicated gene regulation and expression system with several checkpoints that would trigger spontanteous abortions and we don't understand the system completely either (we are still working with fruit flies and worms to understand thier developmental system) so I think that cloning humans is a long long way off if not entirely impossible.

:)..Good to know that..........but on the other hand..........they have shown that organs can be cloned.................spare part factory for kidneys and Liver also pancreas are getting to be an attainable goal in the very near future with all the stem cell research going on.................
So will the soul less(cloned) organ when it is transplanted into another human, does it become part of the old soul (merge)?
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
Cloning is just another way of birth ..
when a body forms inside mother's belly, does it have another soul ..
clones would have a soul of their own
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
a clone will be a different individual, one cannot "relive" bu cloning oneself
Re: Will Clones have separate Souls or share the same
Despite our attempts to simplify the topic at hand even clones i.e. naturally occurring clones are still physically different. Identical twins will have different physical features and finger prints and other things. Realise nature is unique in every area. No two leaves will be exactly the same. No two asexual worms either.

Allah is the Creator of the universe but He has established the system of cause-and-effect in this world. Sowing a seed in the ground is the cause but only llah produces the effect from it in the form of a plant. Similarly cloning is a cause and only through Allah's Will it can produce the effect. Just as the person sowing the seed is not the creator of the resulting plant, so the cloning technician is not the creator of the resulting animal. Allah alone is the Creator and all creation takes place solely through His Will.

So gotta agree with most here, the soul is not present without Allah's permission.

Do organs have their own little piece of soul? hmmmm.......let me ask my evil kidney.....
Well, organs can be cloned but again there is the questions of whether these cloned organs will be accepted or rejected. Who are the hosts for these cloned organs? Even with cross matching from close relatives, the transplant recipient has to take a lot of medication to suppress an immune response and even then sometimes rejections happen. If cloned organs are grown on non human hosts, then chances of rejection go up rapidly and this too is a field that we are barely beginning to understand the complexity of.
