will any one know ABOUT "TASAvWUF"

hi dears.
i’m in aa bit of confusiion pls. help if u can.
the thing is that i read on “TASVWUF” and i beleive it but than in recent days i read a book which was also on this topic but the writer said that this thing is anti-isalm means it is not in favour of true islamic teachings and parameters .also he says with alot of proof to his argue that it came actully from other religions like chirstianity,hinduism etc.
now the problem is that
**to whom i believe ,as i know ,both the parties are fully known as ULLMAA and GREAT SUFI BUZURRG’s.and both know qurran and sharriya well **
help me out.so that ican come outof it.
tell what u know about TASAVWUF so it might help me a bit.
