You can criticise Imran Khan all you want but lets not make a few things up. IK did not abandon being a Pakhtun but migration into another area impacted on his culture. Forget Lahore but very few people speak Pushto in Mianwali. Unlike other politicians IK regular wears his national dress in public ad foreign coutries and he wears it proudly. Unlike all the other Oxford educated bunch of his era at least he has done something for Pakistan ie establishing a hospital. IK until very recently would visit the tribal belt and mix with the locals there as an EQUAL and has even tried to learn Pushto. HE has never had the bow to the Gora Sahib mentality. He has a far more Pakhtun character than the whole of the ANP, and the Pashtun members of JUI and JI - he is on a level with Achakzai - hey may not be liked by many Pakistan nationalists but he stands for what he believes in.
Then we come down to Benazir - who you are an ardent supporter of. Your post criticises IK for abandoning his culture yet at least he has always been able to speak Urdu and Punjabi - BB had to learn Urdu and Sindhi she has never even bothered with. She has showed very little interest in her own ancestral areas. She only wears Pakistani dress to get votes and so that people think she is “decent”.
With leaders like her and ZAB no wonder Pakistan has alway been such a mess! I do not know how any one can vote for the PPP and think they are going to improve the copuntry. It has never happened and never will!
By the way your own name Pasha (assuming it is your ame and not just a nick) indicates either Turkish or Arab origin I believe, correct me if i am wrong - do you still speak Arabic or Turkish at home?
