A Hindu from Mumbai need not speak about Islam. We Pakistanis are closer to Islam because Saudi treats us like a younger brother. So, it does bother us when Indian muslims don’t know a thing about Islam and give a bad name to our religion. We absorbed Indian muslims in our own country despite initially the agreement between goras and Quaid was to accept only Punjabis who were being butchered by Sikhs and Hindus in Eastern Punjab but the integration is always harder with the Indian muslims I think.

this article is an example that muslim indians are giving a good name to islam and holding up some of those peaceful verses in the quran.

the ones i’ve met, were very knowledgeable on islam and some have the quran memorized. i would think they would hold on to the quran and their religion even more when they are only 14% of the total population, to preserve their islamic subculture.
don’t use bollywood as an example.
