I get almost 100% signals on the 1st floor but when I move to 2nd fl. I get about 15% signals. I want to be able to access my wifi on both floors of my house.
What can I do to extend the signals? so I can use wifi on the 2nd fl./outside? My router is U.S Robotics, using Vista.

Rather than using clumsy wifi extenders look into creating a WDS Wireless distribution system - Wikipedia
Other alternative is buying a router with a built in pre-amp.
I think you must get one another AP (Access Point) to be installed at 2nd floor that would overlap the signals of 1st Floor AP (Access Point).
Then you will get solve the problem.
move your router to 2nd floor it will work fine on bottom floors too. Mine is on 2nd floor and works great on first and even in the basement.
