I am going to Karachi for 3 months this summer and I was wondering which internet service providers have good wireless broadband packages there?
Do they provide a router as well, or should I buy one separately?

When I was in Pak a couple of years ago, I used PTCL broadband service, They do provide the wifi router as well. It's better to buy your own router though.

I know someone in Karachi and they use the Etilaat? (arab company) service. It works on 3G network. The good thing is that not only you don't have to buy a wifi router, the thing is like a book so you can take it anywhere with you where there is a socket and voila, you have internet connection.

PTCL sucks… using currently 
Its just a visit so I am not bothering to get another one as soon I will be back… Otherwise, I would never continue using it. Its not about the speed, its about the services.
I guess, Qubee is good. Its back at my mom’s place. Works average!! or Good!!
Dont expect broadband in Pakistan to work as excellent as it does abroad no matter whichever company you choose to provide you services.

Apple’s wifi card is not radically different from what is in android or pc’s. If you are worried, get an airport router as that should work well with apple.
