Do you keep track of your wife's earnings and at what point did you ask how much she was earning? Before or after marriage...or was it a topic that you didn't ever care about?
She told me how much she made. I laughed. She got ticked off and stopped working.

something similar happened to a friend of mine. they were talking about something and the girl said that one day when she makes more than the guy, then she'll do abc, etc, etc... the guy started laughing when she said the first part. didn't go down too well.

I'm trying to remember but one guy I spoke to last year did the same thing. He was jobless. But he said when he WAS making money once upon a time, he was making DOUBLE what I'd be making in the future, and that me having that income was not a big deal.
I was pretty turned off by that.
It shows you don't have respect for your better half.
