Islam says many other things about women’s role towards household and her duties towards husband too … Why is that Islam comes in when it comes to woman’s earned money? and day-care comes in when it comes to raising the kids because “oh I want to pursue the career so I cant take care of kids”
For example we dont have to search hard to come up with past threads about 4 marriages. You will find all kind of explanations about oh why we should not do it, how its unfair and how its the order for that era and not this.
I am all for what Islam says but it has to be applied on both. No “pick and choose” implementation. Someone please make me understand.
PS: and before someone throws a personal comment on me, let me tell you. My wife has worked, she has volunteered and she has stayed home to raise kids. I did not take her salary and I did (happily) pick up the daycare tag too. But obviously I think that it would have been perfectly OK for me to ask for contribution.
