well it needs two to tango - neither she can be wrong all the time nor your family is wrong all the time .. again we come to finding the common ground on which this inlaws relationship get planted . not only planted but get nourished with love and care !
Personally I think She shant get cranky , if the kids get scolded by your kid sisters , I mean talking about fair scolding here - on occasions kids need to be told . On the same hands your kid sisters should also keep things within limits ..
I wouldnt state that your family is bit boring - the circumstances you stated - according to them , they all are occupied with their life and would only encourage as little interactions as possible . And it aint a bad thing either .
if they all ( your wife and your family ) can manage a good relationship without poking their fingers in each other pies .. I dont see a reason why you should be worried .
It is a win win situation among desi households
