A very close friend of mine stays in the same dorms as me, and we are often in each others rooms and often we just barge into the others room if the door is open.
Last week I did my usual barging in and saw a guy from her class sitting in her room, but she was sitting opposite him with her legs sort of inbetween his, I thought it was strange but they were meant to be doing work at the computer so I didnt put any more thought to it. She did sort of jump up when I came in.
Today, I barged in again, she had invited me for dinner so I thought she was expecting me, and this time the room was in darkness and she was sitting on his lap I think and just jumped up. I didnt know what to do or say but just pretended as though I didnt see anything. But I think its obvious that I saw what I saw.
I didnt know whether to laugh or what, and for a few moments I couldnt speak properly but I had to say hi to the guy.
Now the thing is my friend is really small, choti si, short and thin and this guy, well he looks like hes in his 30s, quite big and hes Ghanian, and its just that they look like the oddest couple. Im sure hes a nice guy, but I dont know what shes doing with him.
I think I will remain silent on the subject until she says something.
But from now on I shall politely knock on the door and wait for a reply before I decide to barge in!
