The only way they can avoid is if Dravid doesn't enforce it, which won't happen I guess. India will like to finish this match as early as possible

They almost the first test.. Had Dravid declared 10 overs earlier, India would have won the first test. Now, this one looks bleak for Windies too. Lara's shine is gone as he hasn't played a good innings against a poor and new attack. Time now for Windies to take a break from cricket. I propose a "league" system wherein teams belonging to a league play against each other more than they do against teams from other league. Like Aus and Bangladesh wouldn't play often. This way, we would save from whitewash matches as well as cricket wouldn't be hurt commercially.

Actually rain curtailed 10 overs of play on day 3. Else, we could have seen another couple of wickets tumble. At the end of the day, WI 43/1 in their second innings.

Sadly the whole day's play have been abandoned due to heavy rains. This is really unlucky for the indians as they had windies pegged to the wall and looking for the final blow. windies should consider themselves really lucky if they draw this one out.
tomorrow should be another thriller in the making i guess!....

Some humorous comments visible in the CricInfo ball-by-ball commentary:

  • If the West Indians did a rain dance, then it worked!

  • Brian Lara is in, hopefully the dark clouds will stay out.
