If only we live and let live, more than the shias calling them Syeds the problem is with people trying to judge people where they have no business judging, so how would you feel if you are profiled for your religion, race, ethnicity, beliefs, how you walk, talk, stand, what you eat, body type etc. If you don't like being judged than dont judge. as Hadrat Ali RA said when you point one finger towards someone 4 fingers point towards yourself, disrespecting a true Syed is ruining your Akherat so do you want to generalize and mistakenly diss someone you are supposed to say darud on. But this is not without precedence, Yazid and his followers got the family of Prophet abused at Friday Khutaba for 60 years.

Dude no need to get all worked up.I didnt disrespect anyone. was just curious that every shia I come across is syes & thats not possible. And those people who are “pretending” to be syeds are ruining their akhirat too I guess just to get respect in this world. How can you be so sure who is a true syed & who is not? How can you know who became syed just to gain respect like few generations ago as there was this caste system back then where they used to degrade some classes? jinho ne tubbb se change kiya he ab tuk unka shajra hasb -o- nasb kaafi acha ban gaya hoga.
And whats with this saving the bloodline by syed only marrying syed? Did they not hear last khutba of Prophet SAW? Our religion says to marry your daughter asap but they grow them old just cuz they want to marry syeda with syed only? I have seen so many girls getting old just cuz of this. These are not what Islam says nor our Prophet Muhammad SAW.
OK. But how they all are Shia? I know they have Imam system but back then they were not defined by sects, so how can they be Shia only?

A Sayed is someone who is a descendant of The Holy Prophet (pbuh)
can be sunni or shia
the difference is shia believe Imam Ali (as) was the rightly successor of the prophet, which is a contrary belief of the Sunnis.
you need not to be from the family of imam Ali to he a shia, anyone consider him to be the rightful heir of the last prophet is a shia and those who don't are Sunni
so not all shias are sayeds

Overall it doesnt matter. One will be held accountable for all the things they did in their life, nobody gets a free pass just being Syed.
And yes some Syeds are upto some weird customs which is soo weird keeping the broad horizon of this universe and its purpose in mind.
So when we see people in the west say stuff like how come all muslims do such and such, all blacks do such and such we rightfully call them bigots so why is it okay to start such threads maligning Shias?
