There was a time, when news for one killing upset all. Now killing of tens of people (on daily basis in city like Karachi) is justified by authorities by saying ’ Killings do happen in all big cities of the world?’
Densensitization I think. I hear about people dying, getting killed on these news channels each and every day. People are now so used to this that they don’t even care anymore unless the people that died were someone they knew.
Jab tak 70 se zada bande nahi marte humme afsos nahi hota,
ye 10, 12. 20,25 marrna koi marrna thori hota hey… inke lie afsos nahi hota…
ye to chorti chorti khabbare he humare lie..,.. like oh hooo, zada nukhsan thori huwa hey… sirf 12-15 hi tto the
nukhsan wese humare kabahi hota bhi nahi hey
nukhsan sirf gharibo ko hota hey…
nukhsan sirf marrne walO ki familyZ ka hota hey
Exactly. but who promoted this lack of sensitivity and sensibility?
We used to hear incidents from the life of Prophet that he even cared for animals and birds, but now our society turn deaf ears when they heard about death of someone from different sect
Most people aren’t stone hearted…but there comes a point, when it starts affecting normal function of your life…you can not but desensitize in order to keep semblance of a somewhat normal life… or else you would go nuts!!
Yes people take things very lightly. Killing of a person doesn’t mean killing of one person, it is killing of all the family dependent on that person. Government’s role is pathetic in preventing such incidents. They got a scapegoat in the name of TTP and their duty finishes by a statement that TTP accepted responsibility. Announcement of ad for affected families is also prone to corruption
normal life? Do you think its possible to lead normal life in continuous state of fear. Hospitals are full of patients suffering from anxiety. Heart Diseases were mostly found in old age people in past, but now you can find Heart department full of people (including young people)
:(Unless if that dead person has no link with politics. Just think about it as u have mentioned Karachi. After death of any one person of any political party, people are force to close markets, schools, roads are being blocked, you cant even go to hospital, firing on innocent people without any reason, more people getting killed for no reason. Is it ok to do that to show grief for that one dead person, makets closed for three days. What will u call this. How will it benefit that dead person. For one dead person poor people living in this city, whom earnings are on daily basis, suffer without any reason. What kind of politics is this, where is law and order and these parties destroying education, economy, peace, killing people stand in politics in hope to rule the country God please help.
I think the daily events of killing AND daily reporting of these events finally get people to become desensitized. I don’t think people are themselves insensitive as pakistanimard said.
The lack sensibility is not only by those who are criminals but also lies on the media.
Yes media.
Daily reporting of these events has no real benefit to people. It only makes newspaper and TV channels to get more attention and make more money.
The media has to be a bit more responsible and not only bring these ‘news’ but has to **educate the masses about the humanity and sensitivity. Criticism of high authorities needs to come from media as well.

Average people do have to go to work and make a living and at some point they have to attend to immediate issues to their and their family lives also.
The so called security agencies have failed. It is them who need to become sensitive to these events and do their job better since this is expected of them being paid for by the public money.
