Yes. One way to get across is education. Unfortunately even formal education is not enough. Awareness with education along with making people understand by rule of law may be needed.
Younger generation with emotions out of control need better channels to be directed.

Off topic but this reminds me a joke:
A man goes to a surgeon and said “I want to have castration”.
He gets that operation next day.
While recovering he saw another man waiting for his operation.
He asked what was he in for?

Welll… you can guess what the first man said.
