**1. Why a SHIP is called “SHE” and
2. Why a SUBMARINE is called “HE”

because SHIP carries loads while SUBMARINE SHOOTS, PENETRATES and dives away emerging only for refueling?!

In Urdu, its other way around!

1- Ship araha hay
2- Submarine arahi hay...

In pashto, it could be different, In Hyderabad Daccan could be different as well... :s
