^ Ravage, I dont know if I have participated in those debates related to other matters. All I am objecting to is the removal of the word “happy” when there is no valid reason for it. Does saying Happy new year on 1st of Muharram make you a non-muslim because it was never said so by Prophet Muhammad:saw:, of course not. Removal of the word “happy” because shais believe that it is the time of mourning is unjustifiable and in appropriate.
- Shias are indeed a minority.
- Islam prohibits mourning past three days.
- There is nothing wrong with saying Happy new year on 1st of Muharram.
I know you will have counterpoints and I look forward to seeing them.
