thing is whats funny to you might not be funny to others. If some one takes offence at your jokes, just cut it out. say sorry and move on. instead of saying why are you such and such.every body defines funny in their own manner and i agree with insan some things, people and values are not to be joked about.

I take my religion very seriously, but I certainly don't expect others to, it's mine not theirs. Other's have the right to express an opinion of my religion and of my husbands religion whether I like it or not. And here, they usually do.
I would rather hear a joke than some of the bashing comments that you usually get (ie above). So what, another person tells a joke at the expense of an organized religion. Tomorrow and three generations later that religion will still be there and the joke and the person telling it no one will remember. With all the comments I have heard hear about nuns, priests, the pope, alter boys, various hindu beliefs, and judaism, no one here should be saying anything seriously about not poking fun at any religion, you all have done it, especially if it isn't yours.
Get over it and stop acting holier than thou.
