Every thread in life1 shows lack of communication between the parent and a child. Why are desi parents miles apart from their children? Girls are getting married to people they don’t even know just for the parents, and the sad part is they are not even happy. But, they don’t have the courage to face their parent about it. why? If you’re not happy with their decision why can’t you just tell them? Why don’t you girls stand up for your selves?

It's not about defending your rights, it’s the parents reactions that scare sthe kids. Lot of the parents use emotional blackmail or family honor in situations such as marriage. The girls are basically told that they need to either pick family honor or their happiness. In some cases the parents completely disown the child. While the parents have to deal with the whole khaandan talking about how loose the daughter(s) is. Everything good you have done in the past is disregarded and only this act is what shapes your character.
Yes almost all the threads I have seen lately. I’m not talking about People who don’t mind the whole arranged marriage. I’m referring to those who are complaining on how they have no choice over their parents and below are some threads where I have seen people admit to it.
