A CCTV image (top) shows one of the suspects, Tayib Rauf, entering a bulk order supermarket in Birmingham just two hours before anti-terror police swooped in to grab him for his alleged role in a plot to bomb ten transatlantic airliners. What were the tools of terror Rauf was acquiring before his kamikaze death mission? Knives? Peroxide to make the deadly liquid bomb? Cameras to detonate the bombs?
No - he was buying cakes.
“Does this look like the kind of person planning such a plot? He doesn’t look like he’s about to blow himself up,” the owner of the store told the London Mirror.
Rauf chatted with the owner, who said he was more concerned about his father’s confectionary business than the fact that he was about to aid in the mid-air slaughter of 3,000 people.
Any two-bit psychologist can tell you that this individual’s behavior completely belies the notion that his life is about to come to an end. That in itself exposes the alleged plot for the monumental fraud it is.
Is this an inside joke? MI5 can’t even find some angry Muslim loners with criminal records to at least make it appear as if they would have any motive to carry out these attacks? It’s such a blatant hoax you wonder if they are doing it on purpose to send a message - that everyone should live in fear of a dawn raid from the terror cops.
I still do not belive the Brother and Sisters are guilty. 800 arrested to date and only 3 found guilty by trial and only 18 charged to appear before a court.

so far with the london liquid bombing plot, we have reached number 2

You read both sides of arguments but by reading your post its obvious that your opinions are always one sided.
Fact remains that the number of people arrested in Uk under terror laws..majority are released w/o any charges, for those that are charged...charged are many times completely unrelated to terrorism but more on unpaid parking tickets or shyt like that and even majority of those dont stick.
so yes, lets go after terrorists, I am all for introspection, and as a community member I feel it is my responsibility that if I see or hear something suspicious I report it to the authorities, but beyond that, I cant do authorities job..they need to do it and they need to do it right. They need to invest in intelligence and go after these guys.
Arresting innocent ppl on trumped up suspicions..or in recent case in UK..accidentally shooting the poor guy in the chest during the raid.. just are not right.
Just because we agree that terrorism is wrong and that crazies planning to hurt ppl should be stopped, it does not mean that authorities have a carte blance to be callous, irresponsible and ineffective. In theend it makes the cops look like a bunch of jokers and the next time they drag ppl in, you are thinking maybe this is going to go the way of the last one where the ppl were not guilty at all.
yes I realize that there are going to be incoveniences and am more than ready to deal with them, but it does not mean that there are no limits. And thats the point. If I read right some guys who were arrested this time and whose names were paraded all over news have been let go already.
no conspiracy theory here, no blaming anyone, no excuses, .. just a point that there are limits and there is a right way to wage te war on terror. lets do it, and lets do it right..
