So this bothers me some time.
When first count was started/invented or discovered it was to present some thing.
Like 2 apples or 4 oranges. So with out some thing being presented counting is just some thing like abstract art or some thing .. like a thing for the sake of a thing.
With no link to reality.
So if we count all the men + women + trees + fish… +atoms in the universe… we wont need a bigger integer/number then that … then after that number become useless brain exercise.
So that mean infinity does not exist .. but only in abstract(non practical meanings)?
. According to David Hilbert (1964): “The infinite is nowhere to be found in reality, no matter what experiences, observations, and knowledge are appealed to.”
If you don’t who Hilbert is you don’t exist quantum-ly.
PS: when I said in your face I did not mean you Theorist. In case you read this thread.
PS2: I should take math seriously. hmmm
PS3: I do, but math don’t take me seriously
David Cant be more wrong. How many times can you rip a piece of paper till on the next rip, nothing is left? Infinite time, and you will never reach an end. Infinity is not a concept. its as real as your two eyes. Its just that its not used in daily life as much.
Well. if you keep ripping. It would become its building block composition.
Like molecules or some thing. Then it wont be paper any more.
Proving infinity in this case is just a concept.
