He wasn’t even a Pakistani. Pakistanis have been handing over Alqaeda’s No 2s and No 3s to USA for a decade now. Even his own country and family is not willing to take him dead or alive.

What would’ve Pakistan gained from protecting Osama instead of handing him over to USA or killing him?

I think the answer is obvious. Pakistan simply wasn’t hiding him…he was hiding in Pakistan. There is a vast difference between these two positions.
