Why would International media not cover the military operation in Pakistan?

It is strange that I missed news of this scale as I don’t follow Pakistani media regularly and this news was missing from international news channels. I only learned about it from a Pakistani friend. International news channels give a lot of importance to news of suicide bombings and honor killings but not news like this.

What do you think could be the reason for this?

Let me know if I left out any major western newspaper . The news channel in my country covered it briefly not sure about others but papers def covered it.

One just needs to know where to look. Even when suicide bombs go off in subcontinent the west does not care as much unless foreigners are killed or western interests are targeted.

Where in NWA

Re: Why would International media not cover the military operation in Pakistan?

the view in the international media is more or less that this would be mostly just an elaborate series of air offensives with troops guarding exits, and peace treaties would be signed. no real ground offensive expected.
