O.k… get this: Jimi Hendrix is coming out with a compilation of new songs!

See anything wrong with this? Unless you think its normal for someone who died many moons ago to make a record, I would be pretty annoyed. Same goes for Lennon, Queen etc. etc..

It gets worse.. forget about the folks who are already dead, talk about folks who are alive but act like they’re dead. Pink Floyd and The Who. I mean, its a game of “How Many Times Can I Milk a Hit?”

Why do they keep re-re-re-releasing their old hits, packed with maybe an added guitar riff? How many times can you change “The Wall”?? How many different ways can you sing “My Generation”??

These groups need to come up with new material of just simply retire and stop killing their original material. As for the dead ones (including dead heads), leave 'em alone. They’re dead and dead musicians don;t make new albums!

Well, as long as there are dead heads who will pay money for these records you can't blame the record companies for cashing in can you?

No extreme, I am not blaming the record companies for the artists who are still alive but act as if they're dead. These very artists claim about originality and whine about rip offs, but never seem to twitch on a chance to rercord their hits to make extra bucks....

I guess its their right to make money but they should put a label on their albums:

"We've run out of material. We're not as creative as we used to be. So we'll milk the old songs to make it appear that they're new"
