Is there ANYONE who can advise me a little???
I’d be taking some time off work in Jan, 2005. If someone can tell me where I can go or which studio I can approach (in any city of Pakistan), I would much appreciate. I mean is this that difficult? I want to follow my dream. I admit to being ignorant about it for being outside Pakistan most of my life and for not being up to date with the music/media scene.
Someone please help. Tell about some good studio in Pakistan who can help me make my album. Any contact numbers, etc??? (Please do not tell me Mekaal Hasan as he’s told me that he has a tight schedule during Jan so please advise something else)

^ Spock, I do not have any mail regarding Zohaib Hassan. And someone did suggest me pyramid. When I checked out their website, it was all about TV commercials/jingles not about music albums. And what is "Shahi"? Any contact # , address, website?

Shahi -> Shahzad from VS... He has a nice recording studio I believe, but Im not too sure where it is. His website is under construction too.
God!!! I'd met him at a concert but had no idea he had a studio. But how can I know how to contact him if there is no contact/website? Who can tell me? All these bands/new singers..... I mean who do they approach? How do they make their albums?

Theres one way of contacting him, Ill let you know in PM. As for Shahi, hes one of the best out there, he was the brains behind the brilliant mixing in garaj baras.
you don’t know a song like “garaj baras” yet you want to make music in pakistan. Why would you want to be part of a music scene of which you don’t know anything about. No offence, just wondering.
Obviously, I cannot post his contact info on a public board! Thats why im PMing you. Yeah, he was also behind the VS hits too, but I was talking about his mixing skills, as you are interested in recording music with him.
TheNewWannaBe what exactly is it that you want to do ? You want to appraoch a music studio... do you have songs composed already ? Are the lyrics written ? You have not given enough information about what you would like to do. Are you a vocalist or a composer. Do you need just a studio to record your work or you need someone to work with you on music etc. There's plenty of studios all around the world if you just want your work recorded/mixed. In Pakistan Meekal Hasan owns a nice recording studio besides the one mentioned above. Meekal recorded and mixed Jal's Aadat. He also did Ep's album along with working on MHB's own album. Immu (Fuzon) also owns a studio in Karachi.
Well, I think I made this clear in my first post. I am out dated about PK media updates especially since after 95/96. Got too involved in work life. As far as I know it is a song by Junoon and if Spock is referring to the same then Im sorry but it’s a lousy song. I didnt like it.
Want to be a part cz feel I have something different to contribute… something which would be unususal or different in the PK pop/rock scene.

Thanks LM. This is a very good question. Until few months ago I was of the impression that the lyrics to the songs and the compositions are provided by the studios. Well, I do not have my own songs. I cannot write songs/poetry/lyrics. I can definitely try my hand at composing. I know if I had the right tools, I could be very good at composing but at present, my voice and my singing style is all I have to offer. So ofcourse I need someone to write songs and compose too (at this stage). I did contact Mekaal Hasan and Rs. 45,000 for one song is something I was not able to afford at all. So..... anyway, now I have some plans but dont think he is available during Jan and that's when I'd be in PK. And that's why Im asking for any other good studio which could meet my requirements.

u can do covers of famous pak/indian songs.. if all you’ve got is your “voice and singing style”.
I don’t see anything from you in the Audio Gallery.. upload a sample showing your assets and i’ll tell you if you’re ready to contact someone for recording an album.
