Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
Her hijab could likely have been a security feature in Iraq. She's not observing hijab in the picture where she landed in Germany.
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
Her father has stated she made the video as demanded by her cowardly kidnappers so they wouldn’t kill her. That is what her father has said, if anyone he would know the truth.
A counterterrorism expert says Carroll's comments on the video may indicate she was experiencing a touch of Stockholm syndrome, a defense mechanism in which kidnap victims empathize with their captors.
**However, Carroll's father flatly said his daughter was merely giving the kidnappers what they wanted so she wouldn't be killed.**
**Her father, however, told The Christian Science Monitor -- the paper she was freelancing for when she was abducted -- that she made the video to meet a final demand made by her captors, the newspaper reported Friday. The article's headline was "Jill Carroll forced to make propaganda video as price of freedom."**
**Jim Carroll said his daughter had reason to comply after the insurgents killed her translator, Allan Enwiya, and told her before filming the video that they had just killed an American hostage.**
**"She had been taught to fear them," Jim Carroll said, according to the Monitor. "After listening to them for three months she already knew exactly what they wanted her to say, so she gave it to them with appropriate acting to make it look convincing." **
**The kidnappers, Jim Carroll told the Monitor, "obviously wanted maximum propaganda value in the U.S."**

I bet they'll try whatever they can to try to not put her on tv... lets see how much coverage she gets.
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
latest news may make lajawab cry
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
^^
It doesn’t make me cry, just sure that the debriefing went well or whatever is being said are not JC’s words but a carefully choreographed dance of propaganda…For in reality, reading from the link I provided, her life might have been more in danger here than it was there…People were ready to lynch her…
My theory is, that all those Americans, who throw Daniel Pearl in your face at every argument had received the same words from Daniel Pearl himself as JC, no doubt they would have asked for his death, treason charges and being sent to Gitmo as well…
Anyways, we will have to wait until JC speaks for herself…
I remember the Jessica Lynch and Shoshanna Johnson episode well…Here was the US army telling the world how brutally Jessica had been kept and treated and guarded and how the brave and valiant US forces had freed her…
While there was Jessica smiling and telling the world that she was wonderfully treated by the hospital staff and not at all under guard and in fact it was the US troops that started tearing up the hospital…
Then Jessica was taken off the air and never heard of again…![]()
It’s all quite interesting…It’s interesting to see how Americanists just like to swallow what has been fed to them and react hatefully and angrily to that which comes truly from the heart…
This is an interesting case to follow…
Now we wait for an official appearance by JC…And depending upon her statements, we must follow her media spectacle to see how she gets portrayed…

Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
Any interviews?
Where are the interviews? Has anyone seen any on CNN or FOX or any other such place?
I mean, she is a rare oddity...She is one the very few hostages released and one of the most longest held...Her international spotlight cast the widest circle in both US and Europe...How can the media remain quiet on this one?
Where are the interviews?
I really want to hear what she went through in her ordeal...
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
so far only the Christian Journal has posted regarding her...she herself has not yet appeared on a live network interview.....probably she is still suffering from "brain washing" ;)
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
Good way to convert non-Muslims to Muslims. Kidnap them and threaten to slice their head of. Very good for Islam.
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
Where did you get the news that she has become a Muslim?
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
actually i would wonder why too ![]()
Wasn’t there another girl who was captured and she said that they treated her really well??
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
Maybe they informed her that if she removes the hijab, then the mujahideen would release a different video of her of what she was doing while under the mujahideen's care, and her different positions. I know I would.:D

Well, if a reporter can be hired for her credentials, her dedication to her work, her ability to go into enemy territory to get a story, spend years in college as a communications major majoring in journalism, why can’t that person be able to write their own story?
Note the bolded part…Another reporter…Why would another reporter be asked to write about what one reporter went through?
Some people will claim, oh, it’s because it will be too much strain on her psyche to relive that experience…
She can be captured, held hostage for almost 3 months with her life at stake and she can’t write a book about her own ordeals in the safety of her own home?
I wonder when, like Thomas Hammill, she too will be cover story on newspapers and TV news…After all, she was the one hostage about whome the whole world went nuts…And now that she’s freed, silence ensues…
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
she is hot and they did'nt even touch her...may be thats why she in love with them now and does'nt want to take off her hijab
Re: Why why why? Why the Hijab?
No Larry King appearances...No interviews...
The most talked about abductions, one of the longest and all we have is nothing...
Where is she?
