This question is running in my mind since many days that why we need women to sell all our market products? Be it a cooking oil or a cigarette, a body spray or Anglo Urea -
We need women in all advertisements?

I think no woman is required in all those ads. But people are addict to see women in every thing.

the biggest need of human after food and water is sex, but food and water are cheaper and more availbale than sex, so more people are sex starved, than food starved:D
the result is that to sell uncesserary product to people marketer use SEX in the advertisments, to fool people into believing they will get more sex if they buy the product;)
in most countries men have more money than women, so women are on display to sell sex to men, but in western countries, more and more nacked men are in advertisement, because women there also work and get money they want to spend to get some sex, i mean men:D

that's it actually, it's all about who holds the purchasing power and the advertisement is made keeping in mind their psyche; what would catch their attention.

Because we are copycats of West what they will do we will do that. We cannot use our mind to find new ways to sell our products. We must move towards creativity rather than immitation.
