Why We Don't Feel Anything?

:salam2:

I was thinking when an offensive video made about religion Islam, the Muslims from around the world pasquinade that video, but majority from those who are not Muslims donot pasquinade nor feel regret or say something to those who made such video. Same goes when such video made about other religions i.e., Christianity and/or Hinduism, whereas majority of or all Muslims donot lampoon nor fee rue. Why is that?

Anyone would like to discuss about this?

Peace All,

220 viewers and none interested to discuss :hmmm:

Re: Why We Don't Feel Anything?

Peace Lethal Kamikaze,

This is an argument atheists make when discussing the corruption and hate that's instigated by religion around the world. Our religious beliefs convince us that our faith is the only right one and we are the only ones entitled to heaven. Everyone else can go to hell for all we care - literally. So then naturally we become indifferent to others' violations of religious beliefs and or rights.

Re: Why We Don't Feel Anything?

But Islam does not teach us to insult other religions...right?

Re: Why We Don’t Feel Anything?

Peace All,

Interesting point but why to jump at conclusion where we convince others that the only faith in which we are believe, will lead to heaven and rest others beliefs are into hell? Why to promote directly or indirectly hate in such way when on the other hand we all can sit together and examine that particular verse as well as compare it with other verses from different scriptures and then conclude. Why to give ‘third person’ a chance to break us a part? The “third person” is well known in all reigious book (I believe) and that is none other except ‘Evil / Shatan’.

I disagree with that this argument is made by an atheist only.

Right :k:

....

Re: Why We Don’t Feel Anything?

That’s the best irony: no religion teaches hate - officially anyway. All religions claim the same thing: they are tolerant. But they do believe they are the only right ones. You can’t argue that.

Lol you can disagree but I said atheists make that argument not that only atheists make that argument. Big difference.

Forgot to say Peace LK.

Re: Why We Don't Feel Anything?

All athiests are not shaitaans. Just as all religious people are not shaitaans.
To the best of my knowledge, Hinduism does not teach us to disrespect other religions OR ATHIESTS.

Re: Why We Don't Feel Anything?

Peace All,

Well said. So could u plz tell us how can we contribute in positive way. I mean how shoud be our (positive) role? What u say/think about it :)

I think religion doesn't mean in any sense that to win over each others. It is like a knowledge, a good positive knowledge who learned/experienced it may share it with others so the other may benefit from it.

So what u think. What will going to happen if two kings rules one country or two teachers teach one student/class? Do u think this is possible/wise to ruled/teached by two teachers?

I agree with what u said. Plz tell what Hinduism teach about many other issues like what about God? How do Hinduism explain it?

Re: Why We Don't Feel Anything?

I am not a religious scholar. So my answer may not be correct.

Re: Why We Don’t Feel Anything?

You have put forth a debate that should be discussed in detail. There is no simple answer to it. I live in the United States of America and I would give you the example of the blatant video of prophet of Islam (PBUH) that came out last year. Almost everyone, from government leaders to many religious authorities, condemned the video and found it offensive. They were vocal in their opinion of the maker of the film but the authorities could not do anything against the film maker because the law of the land protected him due to “freedom of speech”. We must realize that in most countries of the world, religion and state are two different entities and they do not mix together. This is also true of my country. It is a wrong notion that if someone belittles another religion no one criticizes them or holds them accountable if not by law. I see it happening all the time. There are bigots everywhere who would not care about other people’s religious sentiments and say things that would be deemed offensive and hurtful. But I feel that we should all be strong enough to ignore such bigots and show them with our own actions that we are superior to any bigot. In my opinion, we should lead by example of tolerance and peace.
